PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the crossinterference of the turbulence generated in individual dimples, to stabilize a flying orbit and to increase a carry without the occurrence of the difference in the flying performance by the rotating direction by disposing ridges of which the outer peripheries are coincided with a ball surface in directions random from each other within the plural dimples on the surface. SOLUTION: Eighteen concentric circular lines L of equal intervals (about 7.5 mm intervals) around a pole P are assumed on the surface of the golf ball S. The dimples D are set in the concentric circular arrays positioned at equal intervals (about 3.75 mm intervals) on the respective concentric circular lines L. These dimples D are preferably fluctuated in the latitude and longitude directions of the respective concentric circular lines L. The respective dimples D are provided with the ridges (walls) W at their approximate centers and are provided with such ridges W in the directions random from each other. The ridges W form the outer peripheries so as to exist on the circumference of the golf ball S. The orbit is more stabilized if a random characteristic is introduced to the positions of the dimples D.
|
