PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-melt ink excellent in dispersion of ingredients and to provide a thermal transfer sheet of which the setting quality and durability are good and the production cost is low. SOLUTION: This hot-melt ink at least contains a colorant, binder resins comprising at least two ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resins and at least one linear low-density polyethylene resin, a dispersion aid, and a wax. In the case when a linear low-density polyethylene resin, which is produced in a large quantity at a low cost, is used in place of ethylene-vinyl acetate resins, which is used as the binder resins to improve adhesion to a substrate, the compatibility of the binder resins with the polyethylene can be enhanced and the stability of the ink can be maintained by mixing two ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resins, one having a high vinyl acetate content (by wt.) and the other having a low vinyl acetate content (by wt.). |
