PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new α-glycosylhesperidin having D-glucose residues in an amount of equimolar or more bound to a hesperidin through α-bonding, and useful for various compositions for a food and drink, a sensitivity disease- controlling agent, a cosmetic or the like. SOLUTION: A new α-glycosylhesperidin in which D-glucose residues in an amount of equimolar or more are bound to a hesperidin expressed by the formula through α-bonding. The α-glycosylhesperidin is used for various compositions for a food and drink such as a drink or a processed food, a sensitivity disease- controlling agent such as a preventing agent or a treating agent for sensitivity disease, a cosmetic such as a skin-beautifying agent or a beautifying agent or the like. The compound is obtained by treating a solution containing hesperidin and α-glycosylsugar compound with a sugar converting enzyme to form α-glycosylhesperidin, and purifying the obtained α-glycosylhesperidin by bringing a solution thereof into contact with a porous synthetic adsorbent.
