A transparent window layer LED comprises growing a GaP.AlGaIn supercell on the p-type limit layer as the transparent window layer for using the GaP.AlGaIn supercell to increase the current distribution and increase the illumination region. Furthermore, the transparent window layer greatly increases the brightness of the LED and eliminates a secondary growing process required in the conventional technique thus production cost can be reduced.
