PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat raw water containing organic components and manganese effectively by providing the first ozone contact means using a filler and the second ozone contact means without using a filler as an ozone contact means. SOLUTION: In an ozone contact means suitable for an apparatus for highly purifying water which purifies water containing organic substances and manganese efficiently, a filler-fixed layer 2 is formed in the upper part of a gas-liquid contact tank 1, raw water is sprinkled from a water sprinkling pipe 3 installed above the layer 2, and ozone is diffused from a diffusion pipe 4 formed in a tank bottom part. The raw water sprinkled to the layer 2 by the pipe 3, while flowing down on the layer 2, which is the first ozone contact means, is brought into contact with ozone which was diffused from the pipe 4 and ascended in stored water and ozone-oxidized. The raw water which flowed down from the layer 2 is further ozone-oxidized in a water storage part 5, which is the second ozone contact means and in which ozone bubbles ascend. |
