<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment mixture which provides high hiding power and high gloss. SOLUTION: There is provided a pigment mixture consisting of at least two components of component A comprising SiO2 flakes coated with at least either of a metal oxide and/or a metal and component B comprising a flaky, acicular or spherical colorant or filler. In one embodiment, component A comprises SiO2 flakes coated with TiO2 and/or Fe2 O3 . In another embodiment, component B comprises colored glass particles, carbon black, silica, an organic color pigment and/or an inorganic color pigment. In yet another embodiment, components A and B are mixed with each other in a ratio of 10:1 to 1:10.</p> |
