<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a face part of a structure to stably increase an initial speed of a hit ball regardless of a head speed without impairing its strength by joining and arranging a face member formed by laminating plural metallic planar materials and fixing only the parts thereof near their peripheral edges to a surface which constitutes the face part. SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 is formed by joining and arranging the face member 4, which are formed by laminating the plural metallic planar materials and welding or fixing only the parts thereof near their peripheral edges by welding, brazing, adhering, etc. on the surface which constitutes the face part 3a of a head body 2. A through-part 3c may be formed in the face part 3 of the head body 2 or a wall surface 3b free from the through-hole 3c may be formed when joining and arranging the face member 4 to the surface which constitutes the face part 3a of the head body 2. The shape of the face part 3a may be the entire surface shape of the face part 3a of the head body 2 and the face member of a trapezoidal shape heretofore mounted at the conventional persimmon head equally well.</p> |
