<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart gas barrier properties and prevent the occurrence of a whitening phenomenon even in the case impact is applied due to falling for example, by forming a film comprising a polyvinyl alcohol resin and a crosslinking agent onto the external surface of a molded article comprising a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene terephthalate. SOLUTION: The container is obtained by applying a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol and crosslinking agent, preferably a solution of it, to the external surface of a molten molded article, comprising a thermoplastic resin, formed as by conventional blow molding, and by drying it. It is preferable that the thickness of the film comprising the polyvinyl alcohol resin formed on the external surface of the molded article be 0.5-20μm. The polyvinyl alcohol resin used here is obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing a vinyl ester, such as vinyl acetate, by a fixed manner, and then by saponifying it. As the crosslinking agent, zirconium salt or the like is suitable. Adding the crosslinking agent remarkably improves the water-resistance of the polyvinyl alcohol resin.</p> |
