<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify constitution and to improve overall energy efficiency by methane-fermenting sludge discharged from an excrement treating facility, dewatering an obtained residue is and drying the dewatered residue by indirect heating in a vacuum state to a desired water content. SOLUTION: Garbage and sludge after excrement treatment are methane- fermented in a methane fermentation apparatus 1. Next, the residue is dewatered/indirectly dried by a dewaterer 2 and an indirect drier 3 so that the water content is made a prescribed value. After that, the dewatered residue is molded by a molding apparatus 4 into RDF or fermented into compost by a compost apparatus 5, besides, methane obtained by methane fermentation is supplied to a cogeneration system 6 in order to obtain electric power and steam. The indirect drier 3 is constituted from a vacuum drier main body, a vacuum pump, a condenser, a receiver tank, and others. The dewatered residue is dried by indirect heating in a vacuum state.</p> |
