PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide steel cords having excellent adhesion to rubber. SOLUTION: This steel cord is produced by twisting a number N (N=an integer of >=3) of wires 2 and has the structure of 1×N twisting. In this cord, a part 4 of the N wires 2 are waved, and the diameter d1 of the waved wires 4 in mm, the diameter d2 of the rest 3 of the wires 2 in mm and the diameter d3 of the cylinder circumscribed by the waved wires 4 in mm satisfy the following inequalities: 1.01 d2 <=d1 <=1.10 d2 ; d1 +1/100<=d3 <=d1 +40/100.
