PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image from smearing without lowering light-fastness by providing an ink absorbing layer containing a hydrophilic binder and cationic composite particles consisting of inorganic fine particles having primary particles of an average particle diameter or lower and a water soluble cationic polymer having a molecular weight of a predetermined quantity or lower expressed by a specific formula. SOLUTION: There is provided on a support with an ink jet absorbing layer that contains a cationic composite particles made up of a hydrophilic binder and cationic composite particles consisting of inorganic fine particles having primary particles of an average particle diameter of about 30 nm or lower and water soluble cationic polymer having an average molecular weight of about 100000 or lower expressed by formula. In the formula, R and R' denote hydrogen atoms or 1-4C alkyl groups, R1 -R3 and R'1 -R'3 are alkyl groups, A and J are bivalent combination groups, X1 and X2 are anion groups, Q is a repeat unit derived from a monomer having an ethylene unsaturated group (also included in the case of copolymerization of two or more kinds of simple substances), (x) is 10-90 mol.%, (y) is 5-90 mol.%, (z) is 0-60 mol.%, and (m) shows integers of 1-6. |
