PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve cleaning performance of a catalyst having an oxygen storage material after a durability test at high temp. SOLUTION: The carrier and the oxygen storage material form an oxide composite carrier having a composite structure with an almost atomic state, and noble metals are deposited on the oxide composite carrier. Since the carrier and the oxygen storage material form a composite structure with an almost atomic state, fine oxygen storage particles are housed in each small room of the carrier so that even when the carrier is exposed to high temp., movement of the oxygen storage particles is suppressed. |
