PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having excellent dental calculus formation-suppressing effect and useful as tooth paste, wet dentifrice, liquid dentifrice, etc., by including zeolite and a phytic acid compound. SOLUTION: This composition for oral cavity comprises (A) preferably 0.5-20 wt.% zeolite (preferably zeolite A), preferably having 0.5-40μm average particle diameter and (B) preferably 0.1-10 wt.% phytic acid compound (e.g. sodium phytate). An abrasive such as calcium phosphate, a viscolizer such as glycerol, a binder, etc., such as carboxymethylcellulose sodium can be formulated as other components into the composition.
