An elongated blade cutter of a rotaryscythe mower has cutting portions 7, inclined at angles of between 10 to 45 degrees to the horizontal, equipped with cutting edges or tips 9 which describe a circle in a horizontal plane and do most of the cutting work and which enable the mower to cut grass with horizontallyextending networks of leaves and the like. A blower 3 sucks in air through holes 4 for supporting the mower on a cushion of air and the blade 6, 7 and the blower 3 are carried by shaft 2 connected to the mower engine. Removable distance washers 8 are provided for adjusting the height of the cutter 6, 7 relative to the housing 1. |
