<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of frontward falling of a paper feeding device and paper feeding failure caused as paper feeding cassettes of two upper and lower stages are simultaneously extracted. SOLUTION: A stopper member 28 is held free to move in the vertical direction in a cassette storage part of a device main body 19, movement restraining members 29, 29 of the stopper member 28 are provided on paper feeding cassettes 22, 22 of two upper and lower stages free to insert in and extract from in the longitudinal direction, recessed parts (a), (b) to selectively engage and disengage both upper and lower end parts of the stopper member 28 only at a cassette storage state are formed on these upper and lower movement restraining members 29, 29, a holding means to energize and hold an engaging-in state of this stopper member 28 in a state where the both upper and lower end parts of the stopper member 28 are engaged in these upper and lower recessed parts (a), (b), and cam surfaces S, S to engage the stopper member 28 in the recessed parts (a), (b) on the remaining paper feeding cassette 22 side in accordance with extraction of either one of the upper and lower paper feeding cassettes 28 are formed on both of the upper and lower recessed parts (a), (b).</p> |
