<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate laser welding by precisely securing the width size of a groove equipped with a weld zone in which two sheets of plate materials are superposed on each other. SOLUTION: A groove 7 extending in the front-rear direction of the body is formed at the part 5 where a roof panel 1 and a body side panel 3 constituting the body of a vehicle are superposed on each other. After a pair of rollers 13, 15 are inserted into this groove 7 in a state adhered to each other, each roller is moved to the side wall 7a, 7b within a prescribed width, pressurized and tack-welding is performed by emitting a laser beam to the superposed part 5 in such a state that the groove 7 has the prescribed width. After the tack welding, while the pair of rollers 13, 15 are rotatably moved in the groove 7 in such a state the they are moved to approach each other in the direction away from the side walls 7a, 7b, a laser beam is emitted along the weld seam for the normal welding.</p> |
