<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye useful for dyeing a cellulose material or the like by selecting a specific disazo dye. SOLUTION: A dye represented by formula I [wherein R1 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C alkylcarbonylamino, ureido or amino; R2 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, sulfo or carboxy; R3 is H, a (NH2 , di-1-4C alkylamino, OH or 1-4C alkoxy substituted) 1-4C alkyl, (1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, NH2 , OH, sulfo or carboxyl substituted)aryl or the like; R4 is H, 1-4C alkyl or the like; n and n' are each 0 or 1; but, in naphthyl ring A, OH is at the 5-, 6- or 8-position; SO3 H is at the 6-, 7- or 8-position; (SO3 H)n is at the 1-, 3- or 4-position; and an azo group is at the 1- or 2-position; in naphthyl ring B, NR3 R4 is at the 2- or 3-position; and (SO3 H)n ' is at the 1- or 2-position] is selected. And the dye represented by formula I is not a dye containing a structure represented by formula II.</p> |
