<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade an appearance by aligning edges of folded sheet bundle of an opening side in a postreating device for an image forming apparatus for stacking recorded sheets, binding their intermediate positions, folding and superposing the sheets at the intermediate positions and bookbinding them. SOLUTION: The posttreating device for an image forming apparatus comprises a staple tray 25 for receiving and stacking recorded sheets to be discharged from an image forming apparatus, a saddle stitching staple 30 for binding intermediate positions of a sheet bundle P stacked on the tray 25, an intermediate folding unit 45 for folding and superposing the saddle stitched sheet bundle P at the intermediate positions, and a cutting means 50 for cutting and aligning edges of the bundle P folded and superposed by the unit 45 of opening side.</p> |
