<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and cost-effective method and a proper tool for finishing holder windows. SOLUTION: In a method for finishing holder windows 51 of a spherical body holder 48 for a uniform-speed universal ball joint, the spherical body holder 48 is composed as an annular member provided with two parallel annular edge parts 49, 50 and a projecting outer surface 54. The holder windows 51, which respectively have two edge parts 52, 53 extending in the circumferential direction and which are uniformly distributed in the circumferential direction, are punched and formed in the annular member. The edge parts of respective holder windows 51 which extend in the circumferential direction are smoothed and paralleled by a modified non-chip manufacturing method.</p> |
