PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly shorten time for releasing and regenerating adsorbed materials and at the same time, ensure safety during regeneration by heating. SOLUTION: An adsorption layer 2 which shows a high adsorptive performance to an injurious gas or an odorous gas is formed on the inner face of honeycombs 1a, 1a... of a honeycomb structure 1 consisting of a good conductor, and at the same time, a heating means 4 for heating the honeycomb structure 1 is additionally installed. The injurious gas component or the odorous gas component contained in the air passing through the honeycombs 1a, 1a... of the honeycomb structure 1 is adsorbed into the adsorption layer 2. Further, when the injurious gas component or the odorous gas component adsorbed into the adsorption layer 2 under the effects of heat by the heating means 4, is eliminated or regenerated, the rapid conduction of heat to the adsorption layer 2 from the honeycomb structure 1 is ensured and also the securing of safety during regenerating by heat is achieved. |
