FIELD: methods and technology of well underground repairs; applicable in killing of producing horizons (of bottom-hole formation zone) with abnormally low formation pressure of gas and gas-condensate wells during their repairs. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of rods from methyl cellulose, their lowering into bottom-hole formation zone, dissolving in formation water, and gelation of formed solution. Introduced additionally into methyl cellulose is accelerator of killing process in form of, for instance, calcium carbide and/or sodium nitride, calcium hydride in amount governed by geological conditions of well itself. EFFECT: higher efficiency of well overhaul due to accelerated dissolving of rods in well, increased temperature in process of gelation and reliable delivery of rods to well bottom. 1 ex
