FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement of volume of extremity after execution of dosed physical loading and in transition from horizontal to vertical positions. Efficiency of operation of muscular venous pump is determined as the result of division of these values on percentage basis. Method allows taking into account of individual scattering on initial values of extremity volume. Device has plethysmoreceptor connected via regulated current source and control circuit to controller to which sensor signal amplifier is connected via A/D converter. Sensor signal amplifier is connected via preamplifier with sensor and directly with reference voltage source.
