FIELD: breakage of rocks with help of vertical and inclined downholes. SUBSTANCE: method includes lowering into hole containing liquid nitrogen of artillery barrel containing heated water held by membrane secured at muzzle end face. By shot, membrane is destroyed and hot water thrown in amount required and sufficient together with enthalpy of powder gases, for complete conversion of cryogenic fluid contained in hole, into gas. EFFECT: higher efficiency of breakage due to utilization of enthalpy of powder gases. 1 dwg
