FIELD: electrified transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed system has device (converter) for converting 380 V, 50 Hz alternating current into higher frequency alternating current, and short-circuited feeder. Inductive power receiver and capacitors featuring higher capacitance per volume unit are installed on vehicle. Additional inductive power receiver with rectifier provides charging of capacitors when traction motors operate at low load and at coasting. Power consumption of traction motors is provided through DC thyristor regulator. Proposed system is notable for higher operation reliability as it provides normal functioning of vehicle at current through feeder whose value corresponds to motor current at continuous duty.
