The present invention pertains to the field of chemical technology, exactly to the synthesis of aromatic compounds' chlorine-derivatives. Object matter of this invention is to simplify hydrocarbons chlorinating method. The intention is achieved by realising oxidative chlorinating process in sour medium. There are used nitrites (for example, sodium nitrite) and transition metal salts (for example, cobalt chloride) as catalytic agents, and oxygen as oxidising agent.
