FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: bed has rollers resting on floor, base posts or frame, carcass, and mattress. Mattress is provided with extended mattress members laid in parallel in longitudinal direction of bed. Carcass of bed consists of framing to which tubes or similar cross bars are secured. Tubes or cross bars are aligned in parallel to mattress members of bed, thus forming actually horizontal plane in which every tubular cross bar is positioned in transverse or longitudinal direction of bed for alignment with groove formed between mattress members. Bed is provided with facilities for mattress displacement in vertical direction between first plane formed by tubular cross bars and second plane located under the first one. Mattress may be stopped at desirable height between two above-indicated planes. EFFECT: improved design. 5 cl, 4 dwg
