A drumstick comprises a handle (2), a stem (3) and a tip (4). The stem (3) comprises a plurality of fibre elements (5) typically, made from polypropylene or similar material and a tone ring (6). The central element of the plurality of elements (5) has a tip (4) attached thereto. The tip (4) is a preformed tip such as a drumstick tip and is of plastics materials such as ABS plastics, nylon or Delrin. Alternatively a plurality of fibre elements (5) can be moulded together at one end to form different styles of a moulded tip (7). A further alternative is the provision of a sleeve (8) affixed to the element (5). |
