The valve has an upstream metering valve (36) in a valve body (35). The metering valve has a preset opening across the body of the valve (35). A valve seat (38) surrounds the valve opening at the side towards the valve inlet. A valve closure (39) has a much smaller section than the body of the valve to engage on the upstream valve seat. The closure of the upstream valve is fixed to the valve shaft (25) and the valve body is fixed for sliding with the valve shaft following a predetermined opening movement of the valve.
