PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a decorating effect by sequentially laminating a layer having a plurality of infinitesimal diffraction structures including different ways of observing at a specific observation point and arranged in a planar direction, a reflective thin film, and a thermal recording layer reversibly changing in its transparency depending upon a temperature on a support, thereby partly clarifying the recording layer. SOLUTION: A layer (OVD layer) 12 having a plurality of infinitesimal diffraction structures including different ways of observing at a specific observation point and arranged in a planar direction, a reflective thin film 13, and a rewritable thermal recording layer 14 reversibly changing in its transparency depending upon a temperature are sequentially laminated on a support 11 to manufacture an image display medium. Further, a protective layer 15 is provided on the layer 14, and an adhesive layer 16 can be provided on a rear surface of the support 11. The layer 12 is obtained by manufacturing a relief type master made of a fine protrusion and recess pattern by an optically imaging method, and heating and pressing a pressing plate made of a nickel duplicated from the master to a resin having a processability. The layer 14 is constituted by an opaque part 14a and a transparent part 14b. |
