The compressor assembly (10) consists of a housing (12), a cylinder block (76) and bearings. The block and bearings define a cylindrical cavity (80) in which rotates a roller piston (132) that is coupled to a drive motor (46). The cylinder block contains a slot (184) for a blade (138), which extends axially across the block and radially from its exterior (78) to the cylindrical cavity. The blade slides with a certain amount of clearance between it and the walls (186,188) of the slot and is pressed against the roller piston by a compression spring (142). In the discharge chamber (32,36) is an oil bath whose liquid level is such the lower part of the blade and also the clearance cavities are immersed in the liquid so that it is lubricated and sealed. |
