The invention concerns a method for preparing fibrillin which consists in washing the cnidaria, in particular jelly fish previously frozen and crushed, followed by a neutral extraction, phase separation and saline precipitation, thereby obtaining fibrillin whereof the composition in amino acids comprises at least 0.5 % of cystine. The invention is applicable to cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions.
