The connector (1) for a screened cable includes a module which has an insulated housing (13). Inside the housing are rows of in-line contact elements. The elements are set into the common plate (11) at the end of the connector. Inside the housing are a number of parallel connection blocks, each containing a number, e.g. six, of channels.
