The folded copies are transported in at least two groups of belts (8,9,10;14,17,18) and taken from the surface (7) of the copy-guiding cylinder (1). One of the groups belonging to a second lengthwise folding appliance (13,20) is driven by a separate drive mechanism (12,19). Each group contains a number of adjacent top (8.1,9.1,10.1;14.1,17.1,18.1) and bottom (8.2,9.2,10.2,14.2,17.2,18.2) belts.
