Wheel and disk drive gear has an input shaft (3), one or more input (5,12) and output (6,11) wheels. A universal bearing (18) is located between the input wheel (5) and an axial flange (9) which is fixed to the input shaft (3). The input wheel (5) axial and radial support is effected by the universal bearing (18). The input shaft (3) is directly fixed to the multi-plate clutch (24) outer plate bearings (25).
