A chassis frame has two consoles (13) with apertures (16) and associated holders to form seats, which completely enclose the profile of the stay tube (12). Each holder has a U-shaped bracket (20) connected to the console via two or more screws (26,27,34). The say tube engages on the end faces of three screws and a top contact face (17) of the console, and is esp. clamped between these faces.
