The paper feed device has a delivery roller (16) for an endless paper web (P), positioned on the exit side of the photosensitive imaging drum (12) and a web feed traction mechanism (2) on the entry side of the latter. The traction mechanism has a braking device for providing a frictional braking force for the endless paper web.
