<p>In an appliance having an a.c. series motor (9), which comprises a rotor coil configuration (12) and two stator coils (S1, S2), and having switching means for switching the a.c. series motor (9) to different speeds or speed characteristics, both coil ends (14, 15 and 16, 17, respectively) of each of the two stator coils (S1, S2) are accessible from outside the a.c. series motor (9), and are connected to the switching means (10), with the aid of which switching means (10) either one stator coil (S2) or both stator coils in series or both stator coils (S1, S2) in parallel can be arranged in series with the rotor coil configuration (12).</p> |
