Lead titanate-based piezoelectric ceramic for piezoelectric oscillators

A piezoelectric ceramic, based on lead titanate containing a crystalline titanium oxide phase, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) production of a piezoelectric ceramic by firing at 1230-1245 deg C to obtain a compact lead titanate-based material; (ii) production of a piezoelectric ceramic by firing and crushing a mixture containing lead oxide and titanium oxide, adding titanium oxide and a binder, molding and firing; and (iii) piezoelectric oscillators including a piezoelectric element (3) made of the above piezoelectric ceramic.
