The system has a signal received by an antenna (10), which is converted (11) into digital form and is stored in a memory (13). The data may be formatted originally in polar coordinates and can be converted to Cartesian coordinates, using an image memory. The pixel data obtained from sampling are subjected to a correction process. The system also has a device to correlate data stored in the memory with freshly input data, and to rewrite the correlation signal in the same memory, to rotate the antenna. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for writing image data to the system; and (2) a method for data interpolation.
