The installation comprises a distribution rail system (7) for distributing electrical energy in the area, a guide rail system (8, 9) arranged for mechanically guiding a movable power consumer (11) and supplying it with electrical energy, and a branching system (10). The guide rail system (8, 9) is electrically connected to the distribution rail system (7) by means of the branching system (10).
