The pulse sequence is used to obtain raw data for deriving an image from an object by means of magneto-resonance signals. High frequency stimulation pulses are applied to the object with a repetition rate (TR). After each stimulation pulse, n high frequency refocusing pulses are irradiated. After each refocusing pulse, at least one magneto-resonance signal is obtained. Each magneto-resonance signal is phase encoded by a pre-set phase code gradient in at least one direction. The magneto-resonance signals are sampled, digitised and phase modulated. They are then arranged in columns of a raw data matrix in an order corresponding to their phase encoding. The phase encoding of the signals is carried out in a time cycle such that the echo resulting after a stimulation has associated segments of associated columns of the raw data matrix.
