<p>The refuelling installation comprises a fixed base (12) mounted on the ground adjacent to at least one aircraft (A) hard-standing area. There is at least one articulated structure (14) which turns about a vertical pivot (22) on the base so that it can be deployed and retracted horizontally. The structure is high enough to allow vehicle to pass beneath it. A driven unit, with at least one steerable wheel (26), is connected to the other end of the articulated structure. It is equipped and with a nacelle which can be raised to the necessary height for refuelling. A pipeline passes from the fixed base and along the superstructure to the nacelle. The deployable/retractable articulated structure is made with two rigid horizontal sections (16,18) of equal length, articulated about a second vertical pivot (20). The outer section is connected by a frame (24) to the driven unit. Each fixed base can be equipped, for example, with two articulated structures, and each nacelle has a control valve for the fuel feed, a meter and an alarm.</p> |
