The bicycle drive technique, known as the Flying Dutchman, is based on the pulling and pressing of a bar (1), which activates a further bar via a rotary point (2,3) and which in turn causes the rear wheel to rotate via a U-profile. The backwards and forward movement is in this manner converted into a rotary movement. The force produced by the pulling and pushing of the handlebars is added to the normal pedal (12) movement of the bicycle.
