摘要

The present invention provides a phase-pure refractory-metal-doped lithium manganate spinel composition prepared by spray pyrolysis. The present invention also provides an electrochemical secondary element comprising a non-aqueous electrolyte, a negative electrode, and a positive electrode, wherein the positive electrode is prepared with the phase-pure spinel composition. The electrochemical secondary cells according to the present invention have considerably reduced discharge capacity fade rates as compared to cells comprising spinels which are not phase-pure.
