A horticultural light comprises a transparent cylindrical tube 10 which is open at both ends. An elongated light bulb (16, Figure 2) is mounted within the cylindrical tube 10 with its axis on or adjacent the axis of the cylindrical tube 10. A reflector (17, Figure 2) which may be polished aluminium, is mounted within the cylindrical tube 10 for directing the majority of the light from the light bulb (16, Figure 2) in a downward direction. The ends of the cylindrical tube 10 fit within step formations 11 provided at the inner ends of a pair of stainless steel end spigots 12. The end spigots 12 are provided with hook or loop formations 13 by means of which the horticultural light can be held by suspension means. |
