PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely make the maintenance of fixing ability compatible with the reduction of the number of occurring times of flickers in a standby stage by selecting and switching a heating means, which should be repeatedly switched to be turned on/off out of plural heating means so that a specified relation is satisfied. SOLUTION: This fixing equipment 9 is constituted by making a rotatable fixing roller 10 which a fixing body press-contact with a rotatable pressure roller 11 which is a pressuring body each other by a pressuring mechanism. The roller 10 is provided with halogen heaters 12A and 12B being the heating means nearly in parallel with each other in a hollow part formed in a cylindrical core bar made of aluminum or the like. With such constitution, a selecting and switching means 14 selects and switches the heater 12A or 12B which should be repeatedly switched to be turned on/off so as to satisfy the relation w3>w2>w1, when the total sum of the output power of the heater 12A or 12B which should be turned on in respective standby, and fixing and restoring stages is defined W1, W2 and W3, respectively. |
