PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out an uniform flange cooling against various kinds of shape steel flange sizes by changing a cooling range of the flange in an upper, lower direction so as to make an upper non-cooling part height of the shape steel flange substantially equal to a lower non-cooling part height. SOLUTION: A H-shape steel 1, which is a member to be cooled and composed of a flange 2 and a web 3, is cooled with a cooling device 5. The cooling device 5 is installed in the shape steel 1 manufacturing line and cools the flange 2 of the shape steel 1 with plural spray nozzles 10. A nozzle header 9, which has a spray nozzle 10 and is connected with a wire 13 of a driving device 12, is disposed on a slanting face 7 of a mobile truck 6. With the usage of the device, the nozzle 10 is made to move in the diagonally upper/lower direction with an angle equal to the nozzle 10 spreading lower angle. A cooling range of the flange 2 in an upper/lower direction is thus changed so that the upper non-cooling part height of the shape steel flange 2 is made to be substantially equal to the lower non-cooling part height. |
