PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sound source with simplified structure formed by holding compatibility for song data for an old sound source. SOLUTION: The old sound source 11 is connected at the downstream side of the new sound source 1. All pieces of data are transmitted to the new sound source 1 by a host CPU like a KARAOKE (accompaniment to recorded music) device etc. When the transmitted data is for the new sound source, it is fetched in own DSP 2 of the new sound source 1 and when the transmitted data is for the old sound source, it is passed and transferred to the old sound source 11 by the new sound source 1. Musical signals formed by both sound sources are synthesized and outputted by a merge circuit 7. Consequently, all pieces of the data are transmitted to the new sound source 1 without considering change of the sound source to the new one by the host CPU and the musical signal is formed as it is based on the received data without considering that the old sound source 11 is connected with the new sound source (the same as in the conventional case that it is connected with the host CPU) by the old sound source 11. |
