PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary an automatic accompaniment sound by generating the automatic accompaniment sound suitable for mood of various melodies to be played and simultaneously reflecting a player's intention on the automatic accompaniment sound as well. SOLUTION: Plural normal patterns NOR1 to NOR4 and introduction patterns INT1 to INT3 are prepared as automatic accompaniment patterns by every accompaniment style like march, waltz and rock. When automatic accompaniment is transferred from the introduction pattern to the normal pattern, it is automatically switched to the pattern with corresponding relation to the previous playing pattern. When normal pattern data is selected during reading of introduction pattern data, the selected normal pattern data is read after the reading of the introduction pattern data over fixed period. When the normal pattern data is selected during the reading of the normal pattern data, the reading is immediately switched to the one of the selected normal pattern data. |
