<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asynchronous transfer mode ATM exchange where the burden the management operator is relieved without occupying uselessly frequency bands and wrong operations are reduced. SOLUTION: Line termination sections 1, 7 terminate each of lines 100, 200 to extract significant ATM cells. Adjacent device connection information processing circuits 2, 6 extract only connection information cells among the significant ATM cells extracted by the line termination sections 1, 7 to process them, then the circuits 2, 6 output a delete instruction to a connection information table 4 of the system and output the other cells to a cell switch 3. The cell switch 3 exchanges ATM cells from the adjacent device connection information processing circuits 2, 6 and transfer the exchanged cells according to switch connection information in the connection information table 4. The connection information table 4 stores switch connection information according to input of connection information from a control terminal 5.</p> |
